I can see,
I see my mother
Calling me,
I see here screaming,
Begging, pleading,
I cannot hear her,
I stand still, reading,
I see the words
Form on her face,
I get the message,
My heart begins to race,
My life flashes by me in an instant,
This is not enough for me,
The instant of my life,
Not enough, it cannot be,
The instant passes,
The danger gone,
Missed by a hairs width,
I now live on,
That instant was a blessing to me,
I know now the value of life,
I'll live on, remembering that lesson,
I'll not give up in this strife,
